SEMARANG – Efforts to improve the quality of students in the field of academic and non-academic achievement can be done in many ways. It is not only limited to improving the quality of teaching in the classroom but can also be done by holding various competitions that can attract students to take part in events.
This is also done by Japanese Language and Culture Study Program of Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University (UNDIP). “Without ignoring efforts to improve the existing teaching and learning process, we are also committed to provide space for students to improve their skills through competitions,” said Head of Japanese Language and Culture Study Program of Faculty of Humanities Undip, Budi Mulyadi, S.Pd, M.Hum, on Tuesday (3/08/2021).

The scope of participation includes students of Japanese Literature, Japanese Language and Culture, as well as students of Japanese Language Education in Indonesia.
Registration for this national level competition will start on September 20th 2021 and close on October 17th 2021. The event is followed by judging period on October 18th – 24th 2021. “The announcement of the winner will be made on October 25th 2021,” Budi Mulyadi added.
Regarding the reasons for holding essay writing and video presentation competitions for students of Japanese Language, Literature, Culture and Education Study Programs, it is based on consideration to increase students’ enthusiasm in learning Japanese language and culture.
Budi Mulyadi hoped that there will be more similar competitions, so that the space for student achievements in studying Japan will be more complete. Similar competitions are expected, especially at the regional and national levels. (PR team)
