Diponegoro University (Undip) has made proud achievements at the national and international levels. Based on the latest ranking results released by the world’s higher education rating agency, AD (Alper-Doger) Scientific Index 2022, Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has succeeded in occupying the 7th position as the best university in Indonesia.
Reported from the https://www.adscientificindex.com/methodology/ page, the method used by the AD Scientific Index 2022 to measure the quality of universities is based on the number of researchers who perform well at the university. The productivity and performance of these researchers can be seen from the total H-index score on Google Scholar and will determine the ranking of the university itself.
There were 296 researchers from Undip who have entered the AD Scientific Index 2022 ranking. Of the total researchers, they were divided into several categories, consisting of 24 researchers in the Agriculture & Forestry category; 4 researchers in the Arts, Design and Architecture category; 32 researchers in the Business & Management category; and 25 researchers in the category of Economics & Econometrics.
It was also recorded that 65 researchers entered the Engineering & Technology category; 3 researchers in the Law/Law and Legal Studies category; 21 researchers in the Medical and Health Sciences category; 25 researchers in the Natural Sciences category; 18 researchers in the Social Sciences category; and 79 researchers in other categories.
For the international level, based on the ranking results of the AD Scientific Index 2022, Harvard University occupied the first position. The second place is occupied by Stanford University and the third place is occupied by the University of California, Berkeley.
The AD Scientific Index 2022 is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance and added value of the scientific productivity of scientists individually. In addition, the AD Scientific Index 2022 ranks institutions based on the scientific characteristics of the affiliated scientists.
With the results of this ranking, Undip’s vision is further finalized, namely to become an Excellent Research University. This achievement also encourages Undip researchers to continue to improve the quality of research and innovation, so that it can provide benefits to the wider community.
