As a form of concern for the UNDIP Chemical Engineering Alumni Association (IKATEKA) in the social field, IKATEKA provided assistance for Undip Chemical Engineering students in the form of scholarship, on Sunday (5/6) at RM. Sindang Reret, Tarumanagara Km. 3 Street, Karawang. The scholarship assistance is one of the IKATEKA Undip Halal bi Halal activities in 2022.
In his remarks, the Head of IKATEKA Undip, Sulasmanto, S.T., conveyed the purpose of this scholarship award is to provide assistance to Chemical Engineering students who are having funding difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and hopefully this activity can be carried out continuously as a form of alumni’s contribution to the alma mater. In this activity the funds collected amounted to IDR 50,000,000 which is given in the form of scholarships to Chemical Engineering students in need.
The provision of this scholarship is very useful to relieve students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Undip., Prof. Dr. Ing. Suherman, S.T., M.T., expressed his happiness and gratitude for the implementation of this activity. “I am beyond grateful for this activity and thank you to our alumni who have provided assistance to our students. I hope that Allah SWT will give many blessings to the alumni in return to their kindness,” he said.
To ensure that the scholarship recipients are the right ones, the scholarship award is symbolically handed over to the Chemical Engineering Student Association Management (HMTK) and student representatives.
Present in this activity were Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA, and Prof. Dr. Widayat, S.T., M.T. as representatives of lecturers. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA, conveyed the latest developments regarding Undip as PTNBH and Undip’s achievements both nationally and internationally. Prof. Dr. Widayat, S.T., M.T. conveyed about the Professional Engineer Education Study Program (PSPPI) FT Undip.
