Semarang, November 30, 2022 – Visit of Mr. Lee Kee Sung as the Minister-Counsellor of the Political Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea at Diponegoro University (Undip), was welcomed by the Head of the International Office (KUI) Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. The meeting which took place in the KUI Meeting Room discussed the initiation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two parties. This was conveyed by Mr. Lee Kee Sung, that cooperation in the field of education between institutions needs to be increased in order to mutually promote institutional and cultural interests for both parties. More specifically, Mr. Lee Kee Sung hoped that the collaboration between the Korean Embassy and Undip would revive the activities of the academic community in the Korean Center after being affected by COVID-19.
In this brief discussion, Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. shared the same vision with the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. Through the alignment of visions to mutually promote the fields of education and culture, this meeting is expected to be able to become a bridge of information as well as strengthen relations between institutions in expanding networks of cooperation in the future.
At the end of the discussion, the Korean Embassy and Undip agreed to follow up on the visiting professor plan in the next discussion. The meeting was closed with an exchange of souvenirs that represented the culture of South Korea and Indonesia as well as a symbol of good relations between the two parties. (ST-AS).
