Batang – Lecturer in D-3 Public Relations Study Program, Nikolaus Ageng Prathama, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. conducted Digital Marketing Training for local residents who are around the Campus area of the Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) Diponegoro University (Undip) Batang Campus, Saturday (12/11/2022). The training that took place in Tumbrep Village, Batang Regency was a form of Undip’s concern for the benefit of everyone, as well as a form of gratitude to local residents as Undip Campus Batang stakeholders which was realized through the Community Development and Empowerment Program (P3M).
Digital marketing training was chosen as a breakthrough for community empowerment on the basis that in Tumbrep Village, there are many young MSMEs entrepreneurs doing business in the food, service and online fashion business.
In his speech, Dr. Drs. Retno Dwi Irianto, M.M. who in this training represented the Head of the Study Program Management Institute outside the Main Campus (LPPSDKU), Dr. Redyanto Noor, M. Hum. said Digital Marketing training was useful for helping the business of young MSMEs entrepreneurs.
“I think now all of us, especially the youth, need to master technology. Because it’s important to help all the businesses of ladies and gentlemen,” said Retno.
The Digital Marketing training was attended by local residents who are members of Karang Taruna and local residents who have businesses. In this training, residents are taught how to manage Instagram social media accounts which can be used as digital marketing promotional media.
Apart from that, in this Digital Marketing training, residents are also taught how to make attractive product names and captions on social media, marketing strategies, and how to attract consumers through product postings on social media.
From the Digital Marketing Training activity which is a series of Community Development and Empowerment Program by Undip, it is hoped that it can help local residents to develop their businesses and provide new knowledge for residents who want to open MSMEs businesses.
The Digital Marketing Training activity was closed with a sharing and discussion session which the residents enthusiastically participated in. While participating in the training, several residents asked questions because this was the first time residents had attended Digital Marketing training and this was new knowledge that they had gained.
