Community Service (KKN) Team 1 students of Diponegoro University (Undip) period of 2022/2023 held an exhibition of innovation results and work programs while carrying out the KKN program in Pemalang Regency. The presentation and exhibition of work programs was held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Majalangu Village, Watukumpul Sub-District, Pemalang Regency.
This activity was attended by the Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation and Cooperation along with the LPPM Undip group, a number of local regional officials such as the village head, sub-district head, representatives from Bappeda, and KKN supervisors.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc. In his remarks, Prof. Ambar explained that the KKN program is one of the stages that must be passed by students to achieve their graduation. In addition, it will also provide several benefits to students as KKN participants.
“There are several benefits, including how we can synergize with friends in other fields, work together as a team, and then be able to face real problems in the field because what we receive in class will be very different from what happens in community,” explained Prof. Ambar.
Furthermore, Prof. Ambar said that the number of KKN Undip Team 1 students in 2022/2023 in Pemalang Regency was 246 people spread over 3 Sub-Districts, namely Watukumpul Sub-District with 120 students, Moga Sub-District with 78 students, and Warungpring Sub-District with 48 students.
Towards the end of the deployment of KKN Undip Team 1 students in 2022/2023, Prof. Ambar expressed his gratitude and apologized to the surrounding community if there was student behavior that was not acceptable. “On behalf of Diponegoro University, we apologize if in the implementation of the community service program there are things that are not pleasing. We have permission to bring our KKN Team 1 students back to Diponegoro University,” he said.
The deployment of the Undip Community Service Team 1 2022/2023 began on January 3, 2023 and will end on February 16, 2023. During these 45 days, 2,645 Undip students carried out KKN in 10 (ten) regencies in Central Java, one of which was Pemalang Regency.
The event continued with the presentation of flagship programs from each village in Pemalang Regency. It was then followed by a review of the results of each village’s flagship programs which were exhibited at each booth representing each village from the Watukumpul, Moga, and Warungpring Sub-Districts.
