UNDIP Rector: KKN Forms Character to Lead, Motivate and Inspire

Community Service (KKN) Team 1 students of Diponegoro University (Undip) for the 2022/2023 academic year have completed their community service program which was held from January 3 to February 16, 2023. “Alhamdulillah, the quality of the Community Service Program by Diponegoro University is increasing, it is proven that students are innovating a lot in developing work programs to help the community. KKN teaches leadership so that the students can motivate and inspire others in an innovative and responsible way. One day, Undip students will become national leaders and alumni with integrity. Welcome back, hopefully everyone will graduate as soon as possible,” said Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum., in his remarks at the Re-Admission Ceremony of Community Service (KKN) Team 1 students of Diponegoro University (Undip) for the 2022/2023 academic year, Thursday (16/2) at the Widya Puraya Undip Field, Tembalang.

In his report, the Head of the Service Center of Community Service (P2KKN) Kurniawan Teguh Martono, S.T., M.T. conveyed that the total number of students deployed to carry out the KKN program was 2,645 students. Alhamdulillah they returned to campus with the same number of 2,645 students. The locations where the KKN program is implemented include Brebes Regency, Tegal Regency, Pemalang Regency, Pekalongan Regency, Batang Regency, Boyolali Regency, Klaten Regency, Sukoharjo Regency, Sragen Regency, and Wonogiri Regency.

“The implementation of the KKN program contains at least five aspects that are fundamental and have philosophical insight, namely the integration of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach, cross-sectoral, broad dimensions and pragmatics, and active community involvement,” explained Teguh.

“While the work programs and products produced in KKN activities include a tourism village master plan, a village icon development master plan, appropriate technology that can help the community such as grass chopper tools, population information systems, IoT technology, MSMEs empowerment, and improvement of Village Map,” said Teguh.
