The Takmir of the Diponegoro University Campus Mosque (Maskam Undip) held the Eid al-Adha 1444 H Prayer at Maskam Undip on Thursday, June 29, 2023. The Eid Al-Adha 1444 H Prayer this time was led by Imam Ustaz Yasir Muna Al-Hafizh and Khotib Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Undip.
In his preach, Prof. Agung invited the people to follow the attitudes of Prophet Ibrahim AS and Prophet Ismail AS, who were obedient to Allah SWT. “This should be an example for all of us that when Allah SWT commands to sacrifice something, sacrifice it with the best,” he said.
Eid al-Adha is a holiday that contains a major event. In this event, besides the firmness of faith, it is also proof that sacrifices based on full sincerity and patience will be replaced with the best things. Apart from showing obedience to Allah SWT, Eid al-Adha also shows high Islamic solidarity.
Prof. Agung added that sacrificial worship is a means of education for all Muslims so they don’t forget to give alms in the way of Allah SWT.
“This sacrificial service can motivate us to always look out for the people around us, especially those who can’t afford it. They can also feel happy with the sacrifice because they can feel something they rarely feel,” said Prof. Agung.
Apart from holding the Eid al-Adha 1444 H Prayer, Takmir Maskam Undip also carried out the slaughter of sacrificial animals on 12 Dzulhijjah 1444 H or Saturday, July 1, 2023, which took place in the courtyard of the Undip Campus Mosque.
