Dean of the Faculty of Psychology Undip, Prof. Dian Ratna Sawitri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D. signed the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Psychology Undip and the Head of Banjarsari Village, Sayung District, Haryanto, S.H., M.H. and the Head of Tambakbulusan Village, Karangtengah District, Demak Regency, Ahmad Chabibulloh, S.Psi, on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The cooperation aims to strengthen the existing collaboration and open opportunities for new types of family and culture-based Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities for lecturers and students.
On this occasion, there is a Psychological Parenting Assistance Based on Local Wisdom in the Digital Age for Coastal Communities in Banjarsari Village, Sayung District, Demak Regency, with the team: Dr. Novi Qonitatin, S.Psi., M.A.; Dr. Endah Kumala Dewi, M.Kes; and Dito Aryo Prabowo, S.Psi., M.Psi. The activity, which involved 30 PKK activists from Banjarsari Village, Sayung District, and Tambakbulusan Village of Karangtengah District, was carried out to increase the knowledge of mothers as the first and main educators in the family, whose decisions determine the direction of children’s education, especially in the digital era. Mothers are invited to reflect on their experiences in parenting and identify effective patterns according to local culture and discuss various problems related to childcare and education.
In addition to increasing engagement with coastal communities, this series of activities also support the implementation of the fourth Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), namely quality education) as well as goal number 17 (partnerships to achieve goals).
