Nanda Febriyana (Graduate of the Faculty of Engineering): Education is not just Getting a Degree; It’s also a place for Forming Mental, Character, and Ways of Thinking

Nanda Febriyana earned a GPA of 3.86 at the 171st graduation at Diponegoro University. She is from the Faculty of Engineering, majoring in Industrial Engineering, and is a Bidikmisi program student. The government provides the Bidikmisi scholarship for high school, vocational and equivalent students, which aims at outstanding students who are economically disadvantaged and is held based on equal education for all people. Undip has committed to supporting the government’s Bidikmisi program so that every citizen has the right to education and can increase equity in access to the tertiary level.

Nanda often took part in competitions and achieved achievements, including the Bronze Medal at the Seoul International Invention Fair (2022), 1st place in the PYC paper competition (2021), 1st Place in International Paper at the University of Jember (2022), 3rd Place in Pertamina University International Paper Space Up (2022), Gold Medal and Special Award (2021).

“I was an Internal Champion Team staff in the Technical Study Forum organization. Apart from that, I was also an Assistant to the Industrial Engineering OPSI Laboratory Undip. Another activity I was involved in while in college was participating in lecturer projects and being active in several competitions both at the national and international levels,” she said.

“I am grateful to Undip for providing many opportunities to study at Undip. A lot of facilities and support were provided to me and other students, such as adequate educational facilities, competition support, organizations as a place for us to develop ourselves, and other facilities that provide comfort,” she continued.

“Education is not only a place to get a degree, but a place for us to shape our mentality, character, way of thinking, perspective, and the most important thing is to educate us to become people who are useful and have an impact on life,” said Nanda. (Linda/Diyah-Public Relations)
