UNDIP Held a Commemoration Ceremony for the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence

Diponegoro University held a Commemoration Ceremony for the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Diponegoro University Stadium on Thursday (17/8).

The Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., as the supervisor of the ceremony, began his speech by delivering the speech of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim. In his speech, Nadiem said that foreign nations did not award Indonesia’s independence but were at stake with all body and soul. For the higher education level, the Independent Learning Independent Campus programs have also succeeded in changing the lives of more than 760 thousand students. Opportunities to study outside the campus, in industry, at school, and in the community provide invaluable experiences for Indonesia’s young generation to contribute to the nation and state.

Next, Prof. Yos said Undip had won rankings at national and international levels and that in the future. Undip would progress with various additional facilities, including the Muladi Dome.

“The Undip academic community enjoys Undip’s welfare and extends to the community. Undip is not only a prosperous university but a university with a basis of Rahmatan Lil Alamin,” continued the Rector.

On this occasion, awarding certificates of honor was also carried out for lecturers, staff, and students. The awarding is a form of appreciation and pride for Undip for those who have made Undip proud. (LW/Nadella/Diyah – Public Relations)
