Jasa Marga Held Srikandi BUMN Goes To Campus, Invited UNDIP Students to Improve Innovation and Technology to Contribute to the Nation

Semarang (24/08), PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk through Jasa Marga BUMN Srikandi collaborated with Diponegoro University (Undip) to hold the BUMN Srikandi Goes to Campus program, which was held at the Entrepreneurship Laboratory Building, Faculty of Economics and Business Undip, Semarang, on Thursday (24/08). Carrying the theme “Innovation and Technology, Strengthen Nation’s Connectivity,” Jasa Marga invited Undip students to be more adaptive in optimizing innovation and technology in contributing to the country and responding to industry challenges continuously moving dynamically.

Director of Operations of Jasa Marga Fitri Wiyanti and Director of Finance and Risk Management of Jasa Marga Pramitha Wulanjani were present at the event. Apart from that, the Director of Human Capital and Transformation of Jasa Marga Bagus Cahya Arinta B. was also present to deliver the Keynote Speech, as well as Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ambariyanto, M.Sc., Head of Academic and Student Affairs Bureau Edy Surahmad, S.Pd., M.Si., Deputy Academic Director Dr. Eng. Agus Setyawan, S.Si., M.Si., and Student Affairs Manager Muhammad Muntafi’, S.Sos. Prof. Ambar appreciated the event and encouraged students to continue to innovate.

In his opening video, the Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. explained that the Srikandi BUMN Goes to Campus event helped provide interactive knowledge and learning for students. He also hopes that in the future, he can collaborate with Jasa Marga to continue to develop quality education programs.

“This opportunity is precious for us because Undip students gain knowledge and direct experience from parties who apply this knowledge in best practices. Of course, science accompanied by practice will produce superior competence in enriching knowledge, strengthening the quality of education, and producing individuals who understand theory and practice and are accompanied by good ethics,” explained Prof. Yos.

Meanwhile, the Director of Human Capital & Transformation of Jasa Marga Bagus Cahya A.B who was present as the Keynote Speaker, said that Srikandi BUMN is a community of women working in BUMN, depicted by Srikandi characters who have reliable and courageous characters to support each other in work and achievement. As BUMN’s committed to helping women’s leadership and youth leadership, Jasa Marga is committed to implementing the Company’s transformation, supported by the population of women occupying managerial positions in BOD-1 currently reaching 31%.

“Jasa Marga also puts forward the principle of development and provides a broad space for innovation to increase contribution and service to the community. The contribution is reflected in technology development on the Jasa Marga Group Highway Roads. Through Srikandi BUMN Goes To Campus this time, we also encourage Undip students to be more adaptive through various innovations and technologies to answer the constantly developing industry challenges,” Bagus explained.

Director of Finance & Risk Management of Jasa Marga Pramitha Wulanjani, in her presentation, explained that the management of BUMN that are increasingly professional, competitive, go global, and oriented as agents of development, is expected to be consistent in providing optimal revenue to the state in the future. The commitment of Jasa Marga as a state-owned company catalyzes Indonesia’s economic growth through its transformation, achievement, and innovation.

“We also open opportunities for younger Undip students to learn, grow, and contribute to Indonesia by joining Jasa Marga through an apprenticeship program in BUMN known as the Magenta (Talented Generation Internship) program,” said Pramitha.

In line with Pramitha, Jasa Marga Director of Operations as well as Jasa Marga Srikandi Advisor Fitri Wiyanti explained, as a market leader in the highway road industry in Indonesia, safe, reliable, and excellent highway road operational services are essential aspects for Jasa Marga which are immediately felt by the public.

“We continue to develop information technology innovations, one of which is by developing an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) which functions to manage integrated highway road traffic services, as well as being a central source of traffic information through the Jasamarga Integrated Digitalmap (JID) super-app used in Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC) and can be accessed by road users through the Travoy application,” added Fitri.

As a BUMN, Jasa Marga is committed to encouraging the spirit of empowering women through the Jasa Marga Srikandi organization. The empowerment program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals. It simultaneously forms the implementation of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) program, which supports gender equality programs as a form of diversity for a better and sustainable future.
