The opportunity to collaborate with nearby countries is an effort to build strong relationships so that they continue to bring benefits to the Undip academic community. Various international activities have been carried out with many countries and Malaysia is no exception. This effort continues to be carried out for activities in the coming years, including this year.
In the journey to seize collaboration opportunities in the coming year (4/8), the Undip team coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Djaeni, S.T., M.Eng from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, has succeeded in achieving a draft agreement (MoU) with Nottingham University Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia, and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) to intensify educational and research collaboration in the year will come.
Planned activities include holding a joint international symposium in the 2024 International Symposium on Food and Agro-biodiversity activities, joint lectures, joint summer courses, and guest lectures. On this occasion, an agreement for credit transfer with Nottingham University Malaysia was also successfully discussed. The hope is that all lecturers and students at Undip can utilize all the activities initiated.
Added by a team member who was also involved in the negotiations, Dr. Ahmad Ni’matullah Al-Baarri, SPt., MP. from the Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, this collaboration in terms of credit transfer and joint summer course is the first activity in Indonesia initiated by Undip. It is hoped that Undip students will gain opportunities to go international and develop research units/centers within Undip, such as the Center for Halal Studies and various other research centers at Undip. This activity is a series of Undip World Class Univesity program activities that aim to increase the volume and intensity of international activities to progress Undip into the top 500 in the world.
