The Faculty of Engineering Undip officially opened a series of events commemorating the 65th Anniversary. The opening ceremony and joint gymnastics took place on Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Dean’s Building (Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc). This opening event was attended by the academic community of the Faculty of Engineering, including the Heads of Departments within the Faculty of Engineering Undip.
This year, the theme is “Go Global, Show Your Potential”. For the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., this theme was promoted as a form of readiness for the Faculty of Engineering Undip to enter the international stage. According to him, this anniversary moment is the right time for the Faculty of Engineering to start this. “The theme is Go Global, Show Your Potential. This means that now it’s time for us to play at the international level and show our potential. So how do we show our uniqueness,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ir. Ari Eko Widyantoro, S.T., M.Si., IPM, Chair of the 65th Anniversary Committee of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, revealed that several agendas have been prepared to celebrate this Anniversary event. The plan is that this agenda will take place from October to November 2023.
“In this 65th Anniversary event, there are several series of activities. Among them are Joint Gymnastics and the Opening of the Anniversary. Then there is the Selection of Outstanding Staff, a Career Seminar, Grave Pilgrimage, Inauguration of the Name of the Dean’s Building, a National Seminar on Energy Transition, an Alumni Gathering, a briefing for prospective graduates, a Public Lecture by the Minister of PUPR, E-Fest, a Job Fair from the Engineering Career Center, and finally on November 24 there will be an Antawirya and Electric Car Seminar and closing,” he explained.
Regarding this anniversary celebration, Prof. Agung stated that the Faculty of Engineering Undip has made many achievements both on the national and international levels. One of them is the victory of the PSMT Undip in the 12th Bali International Choir Festival Competition and the Undip Bandhayuda Robotics Team in the 2023 Indonesian Robot Contest. With this achievement, Prof Agung hopes that the Faculty of Engineering’s Anniversary celebration can be a point for the Faculty of Engineering to continue to make valuable contributions and be accepted by society. “The hope is that in the future, the Faculty of Engineering will have a uniqueness that will be accepted by society,” he said.
