The extended family of Diponegoro University (Undip) mourned the death of Prof. dr. Magdalena Sidhartani Zain, M.Sc., Sp.A(K)., Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (FK Undip), who died on Sunday, October 08, 2023, at 09:45 WIB.
The Undip leaders and academic community paid final respect at the funeral ceremony. The funeral was held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00 WIB at the SA-MWA Building, Undip Tembalang campus.
Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. who acted as Inspector of Funeral Ceremony, in his speech expressed his deepest condolences for the death of Prof. dr. Magdalena Sidhartani Zain, M.Sc., Sp.A(K). “We express our deepest condolences to the family, and we apologize if, during your visit with us, there were things that were not pleasing to Prof. Sidhartani. Hopefully, the family will be able to accept the fate of Almighty God,” he said.
“Undip is deeply saddened by the loss of one of its professors who, throughout her life, was full of sincere devotion to Diponegoro University and all of humanity. Hopefully, Prof. Sidhartani was placed by God Almighty in the best place according to her deeds of worship. Thank you, Professor,” said Prof Yos.
Prof. Yos further expressed his gratitude for all the examples that Prof. Sidhartani gave all her life. “What Prof. Sidhartani has done is an example for all of us. The quality of our life is how we use this life to provide the best possible service to others and the universe,” he concluded.
