In order to improve the quality of educational services and prepare for international accreditation from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), Tanjungpura University (Untan) and Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta) carried out a comparative study visit to Diponegoro University (Undip). The study was carried out on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 10.00 WIB at the Rector Meeting Room, Widya Puraya Building, Undip Tembalang Campus.
This activity aimed to learn and obtain information directly regarding the international accreditation process from FIBAA, which Tanjungpura University and Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University will submit.
Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, the Dean and Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Psychology, the Dean and Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, the Chair and Secretary of the Undip Educational Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP2MP) were present at the event. The teams from the Tanjungpura University and Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University conducted the comparative study visit.
Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the comparative study visit to Undip. Undip is open to sharing experiences and knowledge, one of which is regarding preparations for implementing international accreditation. “Thank you for the trust from Untar and Untirta to attend and share tips and tricks for achieving FIBAA international accreditation,” said Prof. Faisal.
Currently, international accreditation for each university has become mandatory. Apart from improving the reputation of the university, international accreditation is also an indicator of the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) of PTNBH.
“In the 8 (eight) Key Performance Indicators (IKU) of PTNBH, there is one indicator, namely the number of international standard study programs. Alhamdulillah, Undip has fulfilled it, and the accreditation process at Undip is quite smooth. “Accreditation at Undip is handled by the Education Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP2MP),” he explained.
“In the difficult international accreditation process, it is important to decide how we commit and coordinate between units. Because this process cannot be carried out by one unit itself but involves units in the Faculty and University, they must work together,” concluded Prof. Faisal.
