UNDIP Inaugurated 3,866 Students at the 172nd Graduation Ceremony

Semarang – Central Java (13/11). Diponegoro University (Undip) held its 172nd Graduation Ceremony at the Prof. Sudarto, S.H., Building, Undip Tembalang, Semarang starts on today, Monday, November 13, 2023. The 172nd graduation ceremony of Diponegoro University was held in 14 stages on November 13-17, 2023 and continued on November 20-21, 2023. 3,866 graduates took part in the Undip’s 172nd graduation ceremony, and 2,548 of them graduated cum laude. In this period, Undip also inaugurated 24 international students and 13 students with Double Degrees.

Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., Rector of Diponegoro University, congratulated the graduates and their parents on their achievements because they have now successfully reached the graduation point. Prof. Yos reminded us that science must be implemented with complete integrity. “The knowledge that we have studied so far is actually a medium for our connection with the Creator because, with that knowledge, we will worship in the form of charity and knowledge. “It must be based on integrity, which is based on honesty, truth and justice,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., in his report stated that of the 3,866 graduates who graduated at Undip’s 172nd graduation ceremony, 23 were from the Doctoral program, 327 were from the Master’s program, 60 were from the Specialist program, 108 people from the Professional program, 2,485 people from the Bachelor program, 800 people from the Applied Bachelor program and 63 people from the Diploma program. “Hopefully, all graduates will always be successful in pursuing a career and will always be good role models for society,” said Prof. Faisal to the graduates who officially became Undip graduates.

The academic degree held can be developed to the highest degree and put into practice as well as possible. In accordance with its vision as a superior research university, Undip continues to improve its achievements, including National Ranking 1 as the University with alumni who get jobs the fastest based on the QS Ranking for Employability 2021-2022, Top 8 National Rank for World University Rank 2023 according to QS WUR, and has more than 20 internationally accredited study programs including ABEST, FIBAA, and ASIIN.

Sustainable national development is carried out with joint synergy to improve the welfare of the community, nation and state, as well as the happiness of humanity. The hope is that Undip graduates can become the main drivers of the country’s progress in the fields of education, economy, welfare, humanity, and so on at the national and international levels.
