Three UNDIP Vocational School lecturers, namely Mohamad Endy Yulianto, S.T., M.T. and Dr. Eng. Vita Paramita, S.T., M.M., M.Eng from the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology study program; and Dista Yoel Tadeus, S.T., M.T. from the Industrial Electrical Engineering study program received an award in the field of Intellectual Property from the Academic Directorate of Vocational Higher Education in 2023.
Appreciation Program for the Directorate of APTV Kemendikbudristek with the theme Implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education through the Directorate of Higher Education Academic Program was attended by all tertiary institutions under the Diksi which was held at the Sahid Jaya Hotel & Convention Yogyakarta recently.
This award program began with an opening from the Ditjen Diksi, Kiki Yuliati, and the Director General of APTV, Beny Bandanadjaja. Then, it was continued with the reading of 5 nominations in the fields of Implementing Project Based Learning (PBL), Quality Assurance Program, Research, Technology and Community Service, and Student Affairs. This award is given for the dedication and contribution to the performance of lecturers and higher education institutions that organize Vocational Education Programs, so the Academic Directorate of Vocational Higher Education gives appreciation as a step to motivate and encourage vocational higher education institutions to continue to improve the quality and quality of vocational higher education. UNDIP Vocational School earned 1st to 3rd place in the fields of Research, Technology and Community Service, especially Intellectual Property.
Vita Paramita, who is also Deputy Dean II of the UNDIP Vocational School, said that all these achievements cannot be separated from the role of Deputy Dean I, Dr. Ida Hayumawanti, M.M. which has initiated the formation of accelerated patent drafting, at the Vocational School level. Even though it has only been running for 1 (one) year, the results are extraordinary. Vita, who is known as a downstream researcher, has produced several Intellectual Properties for industry through various research with TKT 7 – 9. Among them as Chair of RISPRO LPDP (2014 – 2015) with the title “Development of a Competitive Green Tea Super Mini Plant through an Inactivation Process using Mechanically Dispersed-Rotary Steamer” and the person in charge of PPUPT research (2019 – 2021) “Commercialization of Caffeine-Free Green Tea Nanopolyphenol Products as Functional Food Incorporation Using Enzymatic Inactivation Techniques” with green tea industry partner PPTK Gambung Bandung.
Meanwhile, in 2023, Endy has achieved performance indicators with his spectacular work, namely having produced 6 granted patents, 36 copyrights and 5 publications in reputable Q1 international journals.
Dean of UNDIP Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si., welcomed the achievements of the three UNDIP Vocational School lecturers as these added to the list of the accomplishments of UNDIP Vocational School lecturers at the national level.
“Research activities by lecturers and researchers at the UNDIP Vocational School are the breath of higher education. So, we hope that the lecturers at the UNDIP Vocational School can be motivated, continue to broaden their scientific insight, and, no less important, maintain enthusiasm in research activities,” he concluded.
