UNDIP Hosted the 2023 Tennis Professors Association

In 2021, an organization of professors whose hobby is tennis was formed, called the Association of Tennis Professors (ATP). ATP routinely holds tournaments twice a year at the national level. The hosting of the tournament is carried out in rotation, and 2023, Diponegoro University had the 5th turn to host. The Undip Rector’s Cup Tennis Championship took place on October 6-8, 2023, at the Rusunawa Undip Complex Tennis Court and the Jati Diri Semarang Tennis Court.

“Hopefully, this sport will be a proud event for all of us, and this year’s Tennis Professor Association will run well, and we can meet in the following years,” this was conveyed by the Vice Rector for Resources, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T. at the Welcome Dinner as well as the opening of the Association of Tennis Professors (ATP) Diponegoro University Rector’s Cup Tennis Championship. The statement was conveyed at Taman Embung, Faculty of Economics and Business Undip, Friday (6/9).

One of the positive impacts of ATP activities is the establishment of relationships between professors to increase the climate of cooperation in both academic and non-academic fields. It is also hoped that improving the environment of collaboration will enhance the quality of education at each university. Meanwhile, the aim of holding the Undip Rector’s Cup tournament is to foster pioneering collaboration on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education between universities, prepare a format for Community Service by Universities as a forum for friendship and strengthen ties of brotherhood between professors.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Agus Setyawan, S.Si., M.Si., as chairman of the committee and chairman of LPPM, Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T., M.T. attended the Welcome Dinner. Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Undip, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., who also welcomed the arrival of the participants, really appreciated this ATP activity. “Welcome to Undip, happy racing,” he said.
