In commemoration of the 95th Mother’s Day, Dharma Wanita Perempuan (DWP) of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University (FSM Undip) held a competition. The event raised the theme “Empowered Women for Advanced Indonesia” and took place on Friday, January 5, 2024.
The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Widowati S.Si., M.Si., opened the event. Apart from that, there were also speeches from the Chair of the DWP FSM Undip, Mrs. Beta Noranita, the Chair of the Committee, Mrs. Waty Tony, and a prayer led by Mrs. Ayik.
This activity was attended by women from the Dharma Wanita Association (DWP) of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University. The activity consists of several competitions, such as a fried rice creation competition, and there is also a spontaneity competition. The assessment process consists of 3 judges. Jury 1 is the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Widowati S.Si. M.Si., Jury 2 is DWP Senior, Mrs. Ely Wahyu, and Jury 3 is Chair of DWP FSM, Mrs. Beta.
Prof. Dr. Widowati S.Si. M.Si. explained the aim of this event is, “We build relationships between fellow Dharma women, always being able to unite between departments or between colleagues. This event is to commemorate the fact that a mother is an extraordinary figure; she can be a mother, wife, or person who always strives equally with men. It is very appropriate to hold activities to commemorate Mother’s Day. Mothers are equal to men (Mother’s Day march); behind a man’s success, there is a stronger wife.”
“This activity hopes to become more unified, harmonious and synergistic with the lecturers/teachers so that all FSM academics are united. There is no gap to improve FSM so that it can excel at national and international levels,” continued the Dean of FSM Undip, Prof. Dr. Widowati S.Si. M.Si.
