Diponegoro University, through the Office of International Affairs (KUI), held an exciting webinar entitled “Preparation for IISMA 2024”, presenting IISMA Undip awardees from various well-known pathways and host universities.
This event aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the IISMA program, as well as tips and tricks for success from awardee students. This webinar was held on Friday, January 19, 2024, and brought together four Diponegoro University students and IISMA scholarship awardees for 2021 and 2023. Wafiq Azizah hosted this webinar as MC and moderator.
The webinar session “Preparation for IISMA 2024” opened with remarks and directions from Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D., as Head of KUI Diponegoro University. This webinar was attended by Diponegoro University students from various classes and study programs. Devintya Wu Meyli, the first speaker, started the webinar session with a general introduction to the IISMA selection process. She is one of the 2023 IISMA regular awardees at Keo University, Japan.
The session then continued with the second speaker, Adinda Bunga, the 2023 IISMA Vocational awardee on the regular route at the University of Osnabrück, University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The second session talked about an overview of lectures held at the host university, tips and tricks for preparing essays, and considerations before registering for IISMA.
Next, the webinar was filled by the third speaker, namely Ghassani Santosa, an IISMA co-funding awardee from the University of York, England. This third session discussed a lot of general differences between the regular and co-funding IISMA programs. Then, in the fourth session, the material was delivered by Attahirah Dira Putri, the 2021 IISMA awardee at Sapienza University, Italy, who discussed many differences in program flow and overall comparisons between IISMA 2021 and 2023.
