LPPM UNDIP Provided Free Medical Services for Ngadirojo Wonogiri Residents

Diponegoro University’s Institutes for Research and Community Service (LPPM) carried out a free medical program for the residents of Ngadirojo District, Wonogiri Regency, at District Ngadirojo’s office hall on Sunday (6/8). In his speech, dr. Abdul Mughni, M.Si. Med., Sp.B-KBD, as the coordinator of the LPPM Undip Community Service Volunteer (RPM) team, wishes that the service accomplished by Undip can assist the community in the medical field by understanding the importance of health.

“The initial examination is the screening stage to detect a potential health issue or a certain disease in the patient. Hopefully, this effort will benefit the Ngadirojo community by improving health and boosting Undip’s concern for the community,” he said.

Agus Sarwo, Chief of the Community Welfare Section of Ngadirojo District, expressed his gratitude for the concern of Undip and its KKN team for residents who received free health service opportunities from Undip.

“Undip’s free treatment program benefits the Ngadirojo community regarding health. Alhamdulillah, residents are recorded, and check coupons are distributed evenly in almost all villages in Ngadirojo District,” said Agus.

The volunteer team also took the residents’ health data, including weight, height, blood pressure, blood pressure check, blood sugar, cholesterol, and gout—the examination concerning the risks of certain diseases that need to be known early. LPPM UNDIP also involved the Wonogiri Regency KKN team to help carry out this activity. KKN team massively spread out information about free medical examination and treatment programs for all village residents in Ngadirojo District.

Previously, in 2022, the LPPM Undip service team implemented free medical treatment for residents in the Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, free medical treatment for the residents of Gojoyo Village, and free medical treatment for the residents of Gulon Village, Salam District, Magelang Regency. LPPM Undip also has a Mobile Clinic as one of the supporting facilities for community service activities, for instance, free medical treatment efforts and other social activities.
