PSDKU UNDIP Batang Opens Registration for Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program

Semarang – Central Java (1/7/2024). The Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) PSDKU Campus in Batang Regency is opening admissions for new students for the 2024/2025 academic year. Registration begins on June 18 and runs until July 11, 2024. The Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program at the main campus has excellent accreditation under the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP) at UNDIP.

The career prospects for graduates of the Agribusiness major include roles in the agriculture, plantation, and food industries as business practitioners, consultants, experts, or decision-makers in every business process within the agribusiness sector. These opportunities are available in government agencies, state-owned enterprises, private companies, and non-governmental organizations.

The Head of the PSDKU UNDIP Management Institute and also a professor in animal science at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang W.H.E.P., M.S., M.Agr., IPU., stated that of the three PSDKU UNDIP cities—Pekalongan, Batang, and Rembang— PSDKU UNDIP Batang will be the first to open new student admissions in 2024 with the Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program.

“We are opening the Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program this year, and we aim to become the largest Agribusiness study center in Asia,” explained Prof. Bambang, enthusiastically sharing one of his vision and mission goals.

Meanwhile, Ropinov Saputro, S.E., M.M., a current lecturer in the D3 Tax Administration Study Program at PSDKU UNDIP Batang, stated that although the study program is now being changed, the support from the Batang Regency government and the established collaborations will remain the same. The establishment means that the cooperation and derivative activities between UNDIP, the Batang Regency Government, and the industry in Batang do not start from scratch. The collaboration is an advantage of the Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program at UNDIP Batang Campus.

“All this time, students at UNDIP Batang Campus have achieved many collaborative activities with the Batang Regency Government. This can be directly continued for the Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program; we need to adjust the fields and scope,” said Ropinov. (PSDKU Batang Team ed. Ut-Public Relations)
