PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, in collaboration with Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), held the Pertamina Goes to Campus (PGTC) event on Tuesday (October 22) at the Entrepreneurship Building, Faculty of Economics and Business at UNDIP.
The event was attended by the UNDIP Rector, Vice Rector, Deans of Faculty/School, Director of HR & Business Support of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Vice President of Stakeholder Relations and Management at PT Pertamina (Persero), Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region, and UNDIP students along with representatives from 15 other universities in Semarang.
The Pertamina Goes to Campus roadshow is part of Pertamina’s initiatives through its subholding to engage and conduct activities within campus environments. The program aims to enhance the academic community’s understanding of Pertamina’s role in the energy and development sectors.
Through this program, Pertamina seeks to raise awareness, encourage engagement, and facilitate collaboration between the company and the academic sector. With the theme “Energizing The Future Together,” representing the company’s commitment to educating the next generation about the energy trilemma, the Pertamina Goes to Campus series includes four activities: Energizing Talks, PGTC Exhibition Clusters, Sustainability Competitions, and Campus Corner.
UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., welcomed and appreciated the Pertamina Goes to Campus Roadshow. He remarked that the event allows students to gain direct insights from the industry, encouraging them to explore their abilities and potential.
“According to the World Economic Forum, four fields shape our future: business, renewable energy, IT, and food and science technology. If we can master one of these areas, we can have a significant impact on the world,” Prof. Suharnomo said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNDIP, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed pride and hope that Pertamina Goes to Campus benefits students and faculty by addressing sustainability issues.
“At UNDIP, we’ve actively collaborated with various institutions on sustainable energy over the past two months, highlighting the importance of energy sustainability. PGTC is a crucial event to prepare students to take on the next stage in sustainable energy, aligned with the seventh SDG, Clean and Affordable Energy,” Prof. Faisal explained.
At the same event, the Director of HR & Business Support of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mia Khrisna Anggraini, encouraged students to keep innovating for current and future benefits.
“Universities provide a platform for students to do meaningful work for now and the future. Discover innovative ideas that benefit society because it’s not just about creation but about adding societal value, which will determine your future role. Opportunities are wide open if you have the right formula,” Mia said.
Mia further emphasized the importance of collaboration in preparing Indonesia’s youth to be the backbone of Golden Indonesia 2045, particularly amid challenges in energy equity and sustainability. “We need to ensure our youth excel not only in knowledge and skills but also with a leadership and innovation-oriented mindset and behavior,” she added.
“Through Pertamina Goes to Campus, we hope to inspire students to understand the challenges and opportunities in the energy sector and equip them with relevant insights for entering the workforce,” she added.
At the Pertamina Goes to Campus event, a symbolic handover was also held for the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program, providing a new Computer Laboratory Building for the Faculty of Engineering UNDIP from Pertamina and the donation of 1,000 one-year subscriptions to Kompas.id to boost digital literacy among 1,000 UNDIP students.
