UNDIP, Semarang (March 5) – The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continues to solidify its outstanding reputation on both the national and international stage. This achievement is reflected in the EduRank 2025 rankings, where two of its study programs, Animal Science and Food Technology, secured the top position in Indonesia.
EduRank, a U.S.-based ranking institution, evaluates universities and faculties worldwide based on their teaching quality, research output, and institutional reputation.
The following is detailed data on the ranking of study programs at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP based on the 2025 EduRank ranking:
- Animal Science Study Program (Animal Science Topic): Ranked 1st in Indonesia and 2nd in Asia
- Food Technology (Nutrition and Food Science Topic): Ranked 1st in Indonesia and 12th in Asia
- Agroecotechnology Study Program (Agriculture Science Topic): Ranked 4th in Indonesia and 83rd in Asia
- Agribusiness Study Program (Agricultural Economics Topic): Ranked 7th in Indonesia and 39th in Asia
Dean of Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP, Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized the faculty’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its national and international standing. Currently, the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP consists of two departments: (1) the Department of Animal Science – Animal Science Undergraduate Study Program, the Animal Science Master Study Program, and the Doctoral of Animal Science; and (2) the Department of Agriculture – Agribusiness Undergraduate Study Program, the Agribusiness Master Study Program, and the Doctoral of Agribusiness.
All study programs at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP hold “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation nationally and internationally from ASIIN (Germany). As one of UNDIP’s flagship faculties, it aims to become an internationally recognized institution, particularly in tropical animal and agricultural sciences.
With the motto “Faculty of Research and Entrepreneurship,” the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP is dedicated to providing world-class education in animal and agricultural sciences, producing globally competitive graduates.
The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences plays a significant role in UNDIP’s contributions to scientific advancements and community development.
One notable example is Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., who is among the seven UNDIP scientists listed in Stanford University’s 2024 Top 2% Scientists in the World. His groundbreaking work in poultry nutrition has greatly benefited Indonesian farmers, further reinforcing the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP’s impact on the agricultural sector.
