UNDIP had the opportunity to be part of the Circular Economy Scholarship Programme (CESP), a doctoral scholarship program for young lecturers from three universities in Indonesia: ITB, UNDIP, and UGM, funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of Indonesia.
On Monday, April 7, 2025 (Germany time), UNDIP was represented by Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D., who was one of the speakers at the Kick-off Meeting of the Circular Economy Scholarship Programme (CESP), held at Ford-Saal, Super C, RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany.
Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D., a lecturer in the Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology Study Program at UNDIP Vocational School and the Country Coordinator representative for CESP, delivered a presentation on the management of academic activities as well as the potential for future collaborations.
This event was also conducted in a hybrid format. It was attended by various stakeholders, including the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin, representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of Indonesia, professors from RWTH Aachen, the Management Board, CESP scholarship recipients, and research groups from the institutes involved in the Circular Economy program.
Currently, two lecturers from Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) have been selected as CESP recipients: Denis, a lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering (Ph.D. Student at the Institute of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components – PEM), and Rizka Amalia, a lecturer from the Vocational School (Ph.D. Student in Thermoprocesses and Emission Control in Waste Management and Recycling Teaching and Research Unit – TEER).
Within this program, each Ph.D. student will have a co-supervisor from their respective home university in Indonesia. CESP participants from UNDIP will conduct research on topics related to the Circular Economy in Electronics, with a research focus aligned to their field of expertise. The co-supervisor for Denis is Prof. Dr. rer. Oec. Arfan Bakhtiar, S.T., M.T., and for Rizka Amalia, it is Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D.
Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, fully supports this program, expressing hope that young UNDIP lecturers can expand their international reach and bring global recognition to their alma mater.
Through the CESP program, not only will there be an improvement in human resource quality, but it will also strengthen international collaboration, positively impacting UNDIP’s reputation on the global stage.
Noble, Valuable, and Glorious UNDIP! (Anggun, ed. NH)
