UNDIP Partners with BCA: Launching Digital Payment and Environmentally Friendly Solar Panel Charging Station

UNDIP, Semarang (May 23, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has established a partnership with PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), formalized through the event “Grand Launching of BCA and UNDIP Collaboration for Financial Services and the Handover of Bakti BCA Charging Station Support.”

The event marked the official launch of a financial services collaboration aimed at benefiting active UNDIP students by providing tuition payment options through the myBCA mobile application. In addition, a symbolic handover took place for BCA’s support of UNDIP’s Green Campus Program through the installation of the Bakti BCA Solar Panel Charging Station. The solar panel, with a 550-watt-peak capacity, is capable of producing clean energy and charging a 5,000 mAh battery up to 110 times.

The partnership ceremony was held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Rector’s Meeting Room in the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Tembalang campus. It represents a shared commitment by UNDIP and BCA to support the development of a Sustainable Green Campus.

Attendees included UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.; BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono; UNDIP Vice Rector II Dr. Warsito Kawedar, S.E., M.Si., Akt.; Vice Rector III Prof. Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim, S.T., M.T.; Vice Rector IV Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D.; BCA Regional Office II Head Widjaja Stephen; BCA EVP of Corporate Communication and Responsibility Hera F. Haryn; and Head of BCA Semarang Main Branch Hendrik Satya Nugraha.

UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with BCA, noting that the partnership aligns with the university’s tagline, “UNDIP, Noble and Valuable.”

“We currently have 67,000 students, making us the second-largest in Indonesia. Payment services and charging stations from BCA will greatly benefit our students. In the future, UNDIP aims to match the quality of services provided by BCA,” Prof. Suharnomo said. He added, “Now that UNDIP is working with BCA, we hope this mutual partnership will produce sophisticated technology that is user-friendly and impactful.”

BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono warmly welcomed the collaboration and expressed hope that the partnership would continue to grow. “This grand launching marks the beginning of our collaboration. With our myBCA super app, students and parents can enjoy safe and convenient tuition transactions anytime, anywhere. The Bakti BCA charging station represents our commitment to a green and sustainable campus,” he said.

Antonius Widodo encouraged students and academic staff to make full use of both initiatives. “On behalf of BCA’s management, I would like to thank UNDIP. BCA is proud to be a workplace and platform for UNDIP alumni to grow. Many of them have achieved great success here,” he added.

As a Legal Entity State University (PTNBH) and the second-best sustainable campus in Indonesia according to the UI GreenMetric Ranking, UNDIP fully supports the development of the solar-powered green station with BCA.
