UNDIP’s PSHT Student Unit Secures 3rd Overall Champion at National Pencak Silat Championship

Magelang, April 20, 2025 – Students of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continue to make the university proud through remarkable achievements. The university’s Persaudaraan Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) Student Activity Unit brought home an impressive medal tally, claiming the 3rd Overall Champion title at the Diponegoro Championship 2 National Pencak Silat Tournament after competing fiercely against young martial artists from across Indonesia.

The championship, held from April 18 to 20, 2025, at GOR Samapta in Magelang, was a collaborative effort among the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) of Magelang City, and the Silat Community. This prestigious event provided a platform for youth to showcase their top-level skills in pencak silat.

UNDIP’s delegation fielded 15 athletes—14 in the sparring category and one in the artistic category—and successfully secured a total of 15 medals, consisting of:

Gold Medalists

• Bagas Dwinov Ramadhan – Men’s Class G

• Elga Anggelya Sari – Women’s Class H

• Hanif Ihsan Akmal – Men’s Open Class 2

Silver Medalists

• Winda Puspa Nova – Women’s Class D

• Ardian Syahputra – Men’s Open Class 2

• Nabila Fajri Larasati – Women’s Single Artistic with Weapons (Adult)

Bronze Medalists

• Muhammad Choirul Anwar – Men’s Class A

• Tazkiya Hisan Khaira – Women’s Class A

• Mochamad Effendi Saputra – Men’s Class B

• Dina Hasnatul Maghfiroh – Women’s Class B

• Aditama Wahyu Setiyo Aji – Men’s Class C

• Windi Putri Dewi – Women’s Class C

• Naufal Rafif Nugroho – Men’s Class D

• Muhammad Rafif Noval – Men’s Class D

• Rafi Dwi Aryanto – Men’s Class E

This achievement demonstrates that UNDIP students excel not only academically but also in national-level competitions. The team’s determination, discipline in training, and a strong sense of unity were key foundations in reaching this outstanding result.

Leading coaches Gregorius Tsiompah, S.Gz., M.Gz. and Akhmad Syarif Hidayatullah, S.A.P. played a vital role in guiding the athletes both technically and mentally. In his remarks, Gregorius expressed his appreciation, “Thank you for your dedication and persistence throughout training. Keep up the spirit and remain hungry for even greater achievements.”

Looking ahead, UNDIP’s PSHT unit remains committed to cultivating top-tier martial artists who uphold the values of brotherhood, sportsmanship, and courage, thereby bringing further honor to Universitas Diponegoro on broader stages.
