Diponegoro University Vocational School together with the Archives and Library Officials of Central Java have conducted a technical agreement regarding archival and library management on 11 November 2019. At the Archives and Library Officials Building, the Dean of Undip Vocational School, Prof. Ir. Budiyono, together with five other stakeholders signed a technical agreement in the field of archival and library management. Five other stakeholders who participated in the signing of the agreement were the Election Supervisory Board of Central Java, Vocational School of Gadjah Mada University, Faculty of Cultural Sciences Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, Bachelor-degree of Library of Information Technology Faculty Satya Wacana Christian University Salatiga, and Dian Nuswantoro University.
For Undip Vocational Schools, this collaboration can provide benefits in the field of education and development of student skills, especially for the Applied Information and Public Relations of bachelor-degree Study program. Collaboration is carried out in the field of education and teaching by involving practitioners from the relevant officials to provide practical knowledge about records management. In addition, opportunities are open for students to join in conducting field work lectures as a form of implementation of applied skill in terms of records management.
This technical agreement is collaborative in nature with the aim of supporting the implementation of tasks and functions between the Archives and Library Officials of Central Java with the six stakeholders in the effort to manage and develop archives, both textual and audiovisual. This collaboration is expected to establish a good partnership between the two parties in managing archives in the future.
