UNDIP Accounting Study Program Ranks 1st in Indonesia in the 2023 Edurank Version

The Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University (FEB Undip) is ranked first in Indonesia, ranked 6th in Asia, and ranked 45th in the world, based on its research performance, non-academic achievement, and alumni scores as announced by the ranking agency, Edurank on edurank.org which was announced on mid-April 2023.

Edurank is an independent international ranking agency in America that measures the performance of universities and faculties around the world. The Edurank measurement method is based on several factors, such as the quality of teaching, research, and the university’s image.

Using a database of 1.24 billion citations from 44.9 million indexed scientific publications, EduRank ranks universities in 13 academic fields with 246 scientific branches. In this ranking, EduRank also adds indicators of non-academic excellence and the popularity of alumni who are active in society at the national and global levels.

The ranking of the best Accounting Study Program in Indonesia numbered 2 to 10 respectively are Airlangga University, University of Indonesia, Trisakti University, Gunadharma University, Padang State University, Brawijaya University, Gadjah Mada University, Sebelas Maret University and Bina Nusantara University. This achievement shows the FEB Undip’s commitment to providing quality higher education and contributing to the development of science.

“We are very grateful and proud of this achievement. International recognition is proof of the hard work of all Undip lecturers, staff, students, and FEB alumni. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of education and research at FEB Undip so that we can make a greater contribution to society and the nation,” said Prof. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.

Besides that, the Head of the Accounting Department FEB Undip, Fuad, Ph.D. stated that: “In accordance with the mandate of the Faculty and University, we have carried out internationalization activities regularly through reputable international publications, student/staff exchanges, and visiting professors from various partner universities abroad.”

The Department of Accounting, FEB Undip, consists of several study programs, at the Professional, Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral levels. Currently the focus of FEB’s research is on forensic accounting and financial/management accounting.

This achievement is also proof of the quality of teaching and research at FEB Undip, which continues to strive to develop curriculum and keep up to date with the latest developments in economics and business fields. FEB Undip has various study programs, such as Accounting, Management, and Economics. Not only that, FEB Undip also has adequate supporting facilities, such as libraries, laboratories and research centers and the only campus in Indonesia that has a global standard financial laboratory, namely the Bloomberg Financial Market Laboratory. Apart from that, FEB Undip also collaborates with related companies and agencies to expand the network and improve the quality of teaching. Every year FEB Undip sends more than 200 students who take double degrees and CTS with partners such as Curtin University, Saxion University, MBS in France and various other good campuses in the world.

FEB Undip alumni have also proven successful in various fields, both in Indonesia and abroad. They have become successful leaders and entrepreneurs, and have contributed to the development of Indonesia’s business and economy. Some well-known names as alumni are Michael Bambang Hartono, the richest man in Indonesia, ex Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Mohammad Nasir and Director General of Taxes, Suryo Utomo.
