UNDIP Holds the 2023 National Education Day Ceremony

Diponegoro University held a flag ceremony to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) at Widya Puraya Field, Undip Tembalang, Tuesday (2/5).

Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. as the Leader of the Flag Ceremony delivered the Speech of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Nadiem Anwar Makarim). The Minister through a speech read by the Rector said teachers are now competing to share and create works with the presence of the Merdeka Belajar Platform. In addition, teachers who were previously bound by various rigid regulations are now more free to innovate in class with the presence of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

In line with the Kurikulum Merdeka which emphasizes in-depth learning to develop character and competence, state university admission selection now focuses on measuring literacy and reasoning abilities.

At the tertiary level, younger students who used to only study theory in class can now travel the world in search of knowledge and experience outside the campus with the presence of the Kampus Merdeka programs.

Furthermore, Prof. Yos said that Undip is ranked 6th nationally (Edurank University Rankings 2023). Several study programs also received 1st national ranking, including those at the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering.

“This achievement is a prayer and effort from the entire academic community for the sustainability of Undip. Our professors have also increased in number, thanks to the Deans for motivating fellow lecturers,” he said.

“Let’s continue to strengthen solidarity to improve Undip as a world-class university by competing in goodness,” concluded the Rector. (LW-Titis/Public Relations)
