SEMARANG – On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) Diponegoro University (Undip) held the Aquaculture Business Day (ABD) X Storia Aquatiqa activity in front of the FPIK Undip Auditorium yard. This activity aimed to train the entrepreneurial skills of FPIK Undip students. Apart from that, this activity is a collaboration with the Aquaculture Student Association (HIMAKUA). This year is the second year that Aquaculture Business Day has been held. This activity was the culminating event of a series of practicums for the Aquaculture Innovation and Business course, which Seto Windarto, S.Pi., M.Sc., M.P. coordinated.
This event began with the opening of the student art performance and was opened by Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FPIK Undip. He hopes that this event will continue to develop and be carried out by all study programs at FPIK Undip, with the Aquaculture Study Program as the founder. “It is hoped that this event will be able to improve students’ abilities to become entrepreneurs in the future so that aquaculture graduates will not only become workers but can create employment opportunities. Apart from that, this event is an opportunity to express creativity and increase student togetherness. Hopefully, more and more similar events will be supported by related parties,” said Seto Windarto, S.Pi., M.Sc. M.P., in his speech.
The enthusiasm of the visitors was very high, as could be seen from the hundreds of visitors who attended, both from the academic community and the general public. There were lots of stands enlivening the Aquaculture Business Day event, starting from various types of processed fishery products such as patin and shrimp kebab stands, shrimp dimsum, ebi furai, mayosearolls, dipang.co, fishtory, risol.lumerr, pakies_id, kish es bite, and manufacturing services aquascape little island.
“Hopefully, this event can be enjoyed by many parties, and the Aquaculture Study Program will become increasingly known to the general public. We are delighted that this event was successful,” concluded Bilal Saputra (AK’21), the chief organizer of this activity.
