Strengthening Tri Dharma Performance, UNDIP Enters Top 5 in SINTA 2026 Rankings

UNDIP, Semarang (10/4) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has once again achieved a notable milestone by securing 5th place among universities in Indonesia in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) 2026 rankings, managed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

This year, UNDIP recorded a score of 1,016,085, placing it among the country’s top higher education institutions. This achievement reflects UNDIP’s consistent commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which encompasses education, research, and community service.

SINTA is a national indexing system used to measure the academic performance of universities through various indicators, including scientific publication productivity, the quality and quantity of accredited journals, and tridharma-related activities carried out by the academic community.

The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro stated that this achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the entire UNDIP academic community.

“Achieving a top-five position in SINTA 2026 is clear evidence of our shared commitment and collaborative work in strengthening tridharma performance. UNDIP will continue to enhance research quality and innovation that deliver real impact to society,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Collaboration, and Public Communication emphasized that this achievement reflects the strengthening of UNDIP’s research ecosystem.

“SINTA does not only measure the number of publications, but also the quality of the research ecosystem and the institution’s contribution to the advancement of knowledge. Our strategies in strengthening research, downstreaming innovation, and fostering collaboration have shown positive results,” he explained.

The significant increase in UNDIP’s score highlights its growing academic productivity. This progress is evident in improved publication output, journal quality, and Tri Dharma activities—driven by strong synergy among lecturers, researchers, and institutional support systems.

Moving forward, UNDIP will continue to enhance the quality of reputable scientific publications, strengthen internal journals, and expand research collaborations at both national and international levels. This achievement further reinforces UNDIP’s commitment to producing high-quality, adaptable, and globally competitive human resources while advancing knowledge and societal development.
