Undip Collaborates with Bank Indonesia Institute in Implementation of “Independent Campus Program” 

On Tuesday, December 29th 2020, a cooperation agreement was signed between Diponegoro University and Bank Indonesia Institute regarding Independent Campus Program at Bank Indonesia. The signing ceremony was held virtually in Rector’s Meeting Room, Widya Puraya Undip Tembalang Building. The signing of this collaboration by Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. as Undip Rector and Dr. Solikin M. Juhro who serves as Head of Bank Indonesia Institute.

This collaboration is established as a form of synergy between Bank Indonesia and institutions including universities, with the aim of increasing the quality of human resources. Bank Indonesia already has several collaboration with Undip. This time the agreement raised the theme “Independent Campus Program”, with a concentration on the central bank curriculum development program in line with Free Learning program. In collaboration with partner universities in Indonesia, Bank Indonesia aims not only to be the best central bank, but also as the leading digital central bank for advanced Indonesia. This program trains knowledge skills and attitude, as well as increases the capability of students in managing a corporate university. “This program will be a continuous program with the help of university friends including Undip. Thank you to Undip Rector for the cooperation between Bank Indonesia and Undip so far, hopefully it will run smoothly according to future plans,” said Dr. Solikin M. Juhro.

According to Prof. Yos, Undip make several efforts in the midst of pandemic so could produce something useful for Indonesia. Now there are 5 Undip journals indexed by Scopus, and Undip as a research university continues to increase the publication of research results from academic community and students. Through this collaboration, Undip receives teaching assistance related to Free Learning Program, and Bank Indonesia receives publications and classes where the teachers are from Undip and Bank Indonesia. “We gladly welcome this collaboration. After signing the MoU, we hope that we can immediately implement the program. Thank you Bank Indonesia for the cooperation,” concluded Prof. Yos.

This program is a form of institutional support including universities in implementing Independent Campus program. It is hoped that by holding a program like this, it can assist the government in producing excellent and skillful human resources.
