Diponegoro University (Undip), together with the State Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI), held a public lecture with the theme “Accountability of State Financial Management and Corruption Eradication” on Monday, May 29, 2023.
The activity, which was held in the Hall of the KWU building, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Undip, was attended by Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. as Rector of Diponegoro University, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Retno Saraswati, S.H., M.Hum. and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.
In the initial remarks by Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. conveyed, “We are quite concerned, and it is a concern that the average accountability problem comes from the field of law. Therefore we have to be careful with rules/laws.”
The main event with keynote speaker namely Agus Joko Pramono, M.Acc., Ak., CA., CSFA., CPA., CFrA., QGIA., CGCAE, as Deputy Chairman of BPK RI, providing experience and understanding of the Supreme Audit Agency, especially regarding the accountability of state financial management in Indonesia.
The second resource person was the Dean of the Undip Postgraduate School, Dr. R.B. Sularto, S.H., M.Hum. raised material on eradicating corruption through the lens of legal science.
From this public lecture, it is hoped that participants will have insights and guidelines regarding the role of the BPK RI in preventing corruption and provide recommendations to improve the state financial system in Indonesia through the cases discussed.
