Diponegoro University (Undip), through the Education Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP2MP), participated in the 2023 Solo Edu Expo Education Exhibition, which was organized by the Solo Raya Counseling Guidance and Teachers’ Conference (MGBK) at Graha Solo Raya on December 12-13, 2023.
At the Opening Ceremony, the Chairman of the Committee, Drs. Sugeng, M.Psi. emphasized that this expo is not only an annual event. It is an essential platform for introducing Higher Education, both domestically and overseas. By involving 72 universities, this activity aims to provide further study information directly to SMA/SMK/MA students and their parents.
The event opened with a gambyong dance performance from SMAN 3 Surakarta and continued with a report from the Chair of the Committee, Drs. Sugeng, M.Psi., as well as cutting the ribbon by the Head of the Central Java Provincial Education Service. Undip Socialization and Promotion Team, consisting of 5 people, was present to provide comprehensive information about selection paths, education costs, study programs, facilities, and advantages that Undip has.
On the first day of the exhibition, the Undip booth received positive appreciation and was visited by more than 1200 visitors. Undip’s Socialization and Promotion Team enthusiastically provided comprehensive information about selection routes, education costs, study programs, facilities and Undip’s advantages. Questions frequently asked by visitors regarding scholarship programs, graduate profiles, and lecture materials.
The Undip Socialization and Promotion Team also provides excellent service by providing informative answers and explanations for every question asked. Apart from that, the Undip Socialization and Promotion Team explained in detail the profile of Diponegoro University, including study program choices, facilities, service applications, location access, university achievements, student activity units, and scholarship programs. The latest information regarding the 2024 SNBP and SNBT implementation schedule was also provided. Apart from that, the Undip Socialization Team also included small games with Undip merchandise prizes, which succeeded in increasing the enthusiasm of the 2023 Solo Edu Expo participants.
The main aim of Undip’s participation in this event is to introduce Undip to SMA/SMK/MA students and visitors to the 2023 Solo Raya Edu Expo, as well as to motivate them to choose study programs that suit their interests and potential.
Undip’s successful participation in this event not only created awareness of the diversity of study programs and the excellence of the university but also provided positive encouragement to SMA/SMK/MA students to move to a higher level of education with better confidence and understanding. This event is not only a promotional event but also a step to bring Undip closer to prospective students in Solo Raya and its surroundings.
