The Prof. Soedarto, S.H. Building at Universitas DiponegoroUniversity’s Tembalang Campus witnessed the remarkable achievements of UNDIP’s international students during the 2024 Outstanding Student Awards Ceremony. Amidst resounding applause, students from various UNDIP faculties took the stage to receive awards. Impressively, 150 international achievements were recorded, with 93 of them being first-place victories at the international level.
The 2024 Diponegoro University Outstanding Student Awards Ceremony, aimed at recognizing students excelling in academics, sports, and the arts at national and international levels, was held at the Prof. Soedarto, S.H. Building, Tembalang Campus, on Friday, November 29, 2024.
In his speech, UNDIP Rector, Prof. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed that the event symbolized UNDIP’s appreciation for its students’ accomplishments. “Continue what you have achieved, and do not stop here. My message is that competence is important, but even more crucial is attitude—both a positive outlook on life and morality as a human being,” stated Prof. Suharnomo.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Development, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., presented a detailed report on UNDIP students’ 2024 achievements.
- International Level: 93 first-place wins, 45 second-place, and 12 third-place (total 150).
- National Level: 261 first-place wins, 169 second-place, and 126 third-place (total 556).
- Regional Level: 9 first-place wins, 3 second-place, and 3 third-place (total 15).
- Provincial Level: 14 first-place wins, 3 second-place, and 2 third-place (total 19).
The total number of student achievements for UNDIP in 2024 reached 740.
“Hopefully, UNDIP’s achievements will continue to grow in 2025. UNDIP expresses its gratitude to the students who have brought recognition to the university. Without your hard work and dedication, the Universitas Diponegoro flag would not fly so high,” said Prof. Heru.
