UNDIP, Semarang (20/6) – In celebration of the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijri, the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) organized a religious gathering themed “Wisdom Behind Trials”, featuring renowned national preacher Hj. Dewi Yull. The event served as a moment of spiritual reflection for the university community and the extended UNDIP family, strengthening their faith and deepening their devotion to Allah SWT. The gathering was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) UNDIP on Friday, June 19, 2026.

DWP UNDIP administrators and members, university and faculty leaders and members of the UNDIP academic community attended the solemn event. On this occasion, the host organization was Dharma Wanita Persatuan of FPIK UNDIP.

In her sermon, Hj. Dewi Yull emphasized that every individual inevitably faces various trials in life. However, through patience, sincerity, and trust in Allah SWT, every challenge can become a path toward personal growth and spiritual maturity. She encouraged participants to view life’s hardships as opportunities to learn, strengthen faith, and improve themselves.

“Trials are not a sign that Allah has abandoned His servants. Rather, they are expressions of His love, drawing us closer to Him and enabling us to find wisdom in every event that occurs,” said Hj. Dewi Yull.

The Chair of Dharma Wanita Persatuan UNDIP, Dewi Widayani Suharnomo, stated that the religious gathering is part of DWP’s ongoing efforts to foster the mental and spiritual well-being of its members and the wider UNDIP community. In addition to commemorating the Islamic New Year, the event also served as a platform to strengthen social bonds and reinforce the values of togetherness within the university.

As Chair of DWP UNDIP, Dewi Suharnomo expressed her hope that the messages and values shared by Hj. Dewi Yull would inspire all participants to face life’s challenges with patience, openness, optimism, and complete trust in Allah SWT.

Through the theme “Wisdom Behind Trials,” participants were encouraged to use the beginning of the Hijri New Year as an opportunity for self-reflection (muhasabah), to improve the quality of worship, to enhance social awareness, and to strengthen the spirit of sharing and caring for others. The event also reflected UNDIP’s commitment to becoming a dignified and impactful institution that contributes positively to families, religion, society, and the nation of Indonesia.
