Diponegoro University held a procession ceremony for Undip Professor inauguration at the Prof. Soedharto Building, SH Undip Tembalang campus on Friday (12/13).
The two inaugurated professors are Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Mukodiningsih, M.S. from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Ir. Suradi Wijaya Saputra, M.S. from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences.
In his remarks Rector Undip Prof.Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum. said that, “In this year 2019 there have been 35 Professors inaugurated”. He added, “The success of the Professors that have been achieved is supported by all parties, especially families. Therefore, at a press conference ahead of the inauguration, they are required to bring a husband or wife to accompany them “. The Rector said that both lecturers and students must be adaptive by continuing to innovate so as not to become a marginalized nation. “Efforts made to continue to increase capacity are through scholarship programs, research assistance and professor acceleration with the one professor one candidate program. Furthermore, he said that the crown of achievement is not merely ranking, but the confidence of the workforce in Undip graduates who have competence.
Meanwhile, the Head of Undip Academic Senate Prof. Dr. Ir. Sunarso, M.S. said that Prof. Suradi was the 25th Professor at the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Prof. Sri Mukodiningsih is the 24th Professor at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture.
During the Inauguration on Friday (12/13), Prof. Sri Mukodiningsih conveyed the topic of increasing animal protein production by paying attention to optimize the calf handling. As for Prof. Suradi Wijaya Saputra delivered a presentation on the management of shrimp resources for the preservation and improvement of fishermen’s incomes.
