The Corona Virus outbreak has motivated Diponegoro University (Undip) to make various efforts to overcome the covid pandemic outbreak. Through Dharma Wanita Persatuan Undip, Undip provides an assistance in the form of nine-basic necessities to 660 students who unable to return to their hometown because of the pandemic as well as masks provided by the Diponegoro Disaster Assistance Response Team (D-DART), Thursday (4/16) located at Widya Puraya Undip Building yard. The event was attended by Undip Rector, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Board of Directors and Bureaus, and recipient students.
Undip Rector, Prof. Yos Johan Utama, explained that the provision of nine-basic-necessities to students was not only given to local students, but also to 29 foreign students who came from all over the world.
“The provision of basic necessities and masks to students is to support the student economy during the time of covid-19 pandemic and this will not be only done once as it is planned that here will be more aid distribution programs for underprivileged students,” said the Rector.
The Rector also stated that Undip have been preparing health protocols that are in accordance with procedures to deal with health problems for students at RSND (Diponegoro National Hospital), Undip.
