Undip Career Days 2023 Successfully Held for the Second Time

Thursday, June 22, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering Undip, in collaboration with Level 7 Indonesia, successfully held the Undip Career Days 2023 job fair for the second time. The event, which was held on June 21-22 at the Imam Bardjo Auditorium, S.H., succeeded in attracting thousands of job seekers who did not only come from the Faculty of Engineering but also from outside the Faculty of Engineering Undip.

The Engineering Career Center, a special unit under the Faculty of Engineering Undip that focuses on preparing career paths for students graduating from the Faculty of Engineering, again held a job fair event in response to the high enthusiasm of the participants and companies who took part in the previous Undip Career Days. At this job fair, dozens of national and international scale companies provided job opportunities for participants from various backgrounds.

Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T., M.T., IPU, Deputy Dean of Resources for the Faculty of Engineering, revealed that at this Undip Career Day, 35 companies and SOEs participated in this job fair. He hopes the visitors in this period can be more than in the previous period. “We target the number of visitors to more than 2,000 visitors. Hopefully, it can be following our target,” he said.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M., M.Sc., Ph.D., welcomed this job fair. According to him, this job fair meets the needs of the Faculty of Engineering to provide job opportunities for its graduates. With this job fair, he hopes that the companies attending will be willing to provide input regarding what is currently needed by the industry. “Nearly two thousand students graduate each year at the Faculty of Engineering. We ask for your help if you have input regarding current industry needs,” he said.

In the second period of Undip Career Days 2023, visitors reached more than 2,300 job applicants. The number of visitors shows a significant increase compared to the previous period. Prof. Agung hopes that with this job fair, more Faculty of Engineering Undip graduates will be able to get jobs immediately. The event supports Undip’s quality as the first-ranked university with the best graduate acceptance rate (employability ranking). “Undip has been Indonesia’s number one employability university for two consecutive years. Hopefully, this job fair event can maintain that.”
