UNDIP, Semarang (February 23, 2025) – The Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro, in collaboration with IKAK3 (Association of Occupational Safety & Health Alumni), held a Gathering Event at the Hall of Dr. Budioro Brotosaputro, MPH, Building D, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro, on Sunday, February 23, 2025. This annual event aims to strengthen the bond between alumni and their alma mater, as well as to enhance collaboration and the role of alumni as stakeholders and connectors between students and industry. The event began with a “Fun Walk” around the UNDIP campus, attended by alumni, lecturers, and students from the OSH specialization and the Undergraduate OSH Study Program of the Faculty of Public Health.

Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Dr. Budiyono, SKM, M.Kes., emphasized the significant role of alumni, not only as a bridge between students and career opportunities in the industry but also in maintaining and enhancing the university’s reputation. In the same session, IKAK3 Chairman Setyadi Kristyana, currently working at K-Strong Asia Singapore, stated that alumni are committed to continuously supporting OSH-related activities on campus through various training programs and certifications (as speakers, equipment support, and financial aid), as well as off-campus initiatives through the alumni network across different industrial sectors, providing internship and fieldwork opportunities for students.

The Occupational Safety and Health Forum of the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Diponegoro, is a student forum under the Occupational Safety and Health Department of the Faculty of Public Health. Established in 2002, the forum serves as a platform for OSH students to develop soft skills in various fields, particularly in OSH, to prepare them for the workforce.

IKAK3 was founded by alumni in 2017 as a platform for information and knowledge exchange, career development support, strengthening alumni networks, and making positive contributions to the alma mater and the industrial community.

The event continued with a sharing session, where alumni shared their experiences in their respective industries. This session served as a valuable knowledge transfer, enriching students’ understanding and mindset about the industrial world.
