Socialization and Promotion of UNDIP’s New Student Admission at SMA 1 Bae Kudus: Recognize Your Potential to Avoid Choosing the Wrong Study Program

In preparation for the 2025 New Student Admission, which includes the SNBP, SNBT, and Independent Exam pathways, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) conducted the “Socialization and Promotion of SNBP, SNBT, and UNDIP’s Independent Exam for 2025” at several high schools in Jawa Tengah. On Monday, February 3, 2025, the UNDIP team, consisting of members from the Institute of Educational Quality Development and Assurance (LP2MP) and the Directorate of Media Network, Community, and Public Communication (JMK2P), led by Dr. Vivi Endar Herawati, S.Pi., M.Si. (Aquaculture Lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UNDIP), visited SMA 1 Bae Kudus.

The UNDIP team, represented by Dr. Vivi, introduced UNDIP’s vision as a leading research university with various nationally and internationally accredited programs. In her presentation titled “Unleash Your Potential, Ignite Your Future,” Dr. Vivi provided an overview of the faculties at UNDIP, along with their flagship programs, including the International Undergraduate Program (IUP).

UNDIP is equipped with various facilities to support student activities on campus, such as the Integrated Laboratory, Service English Unit (SEU), Muladi Dome, Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), student housing, international-standard basketball courts, and many more. With 46 Student Activity Units (UKM) available at UNDIP, students can explore their interests and talents in various fields.

The quota for UNDIP’s New Student Admission includes 20% for the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), 30% for the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), and 50% for the Independent Exam (UM).

Around 300 12th-grade students from SMA 1 Bae Kudus participated in the event, which generated great enthusiasm. Students asked questions regarding the popular study programs at UNDIP, the relevance of their report card grades to the programs they wish to apply for, the capacity of study programs at UNDIP this year, accreditation, and more. The school’s guidance counselor also actively participated in the discussion about SNBP registration, which is open from February 4 to 18, 2025, as well as the UTBK-SNBT registration from March 11 to 27, 2025.

In response to the diverse yet focused questions from the Gen Z students, Dr. Vivi advised prospective students to review the university’s website carefully. She also encouraged them to pay attention to their report card grades throughout high school to ensure they select the most suitable study program with a high probability of acceptance.

Dr. Vivi further advised, “Make UNDIP your top choice so that you can focus on pursuing the program you desire. Pay close attention to the information on the website regarding the university, faculties, and study programs to avoid choosing the wrong program.”

All information about UNDIP’s New Student Admission can be found on the website pmb.undip.ac.id, along with a helpdesk for further questions. (Titis-Media Relations)
