This faculty focuses on the development of public health science, health promotion, and environmental health, as well as establishing cooperation with various agencies.
The Faculty of Public Health at Diponegoro University (FKM UNDIP) originated from the Public Health Study Program under the Faculty of Medicine at UNDIP, which was established on January 4, 1985, through a Rector’s Decree. Over time, the Public Health Study Program (PSKM FK-UNDIP) received funding support from a public health faculty development project in Indonesia in collaboration with USAID. On November 21, 1993, PSKM FK-UNDIP officially became the Faculty of Public Health at UNDIP through a decree issued by the Minister of Education and Culture. Initially, the faculty only accepted undergraduate students from the Ministry of Health’s institutions through a special admission track. However, starting from the 1986/1987 academic year, it began admitting high school graduates. FKM UNDIP later expanded by offering various non-regular programs, tiered education programs, as well as master’s and doctoral programs, including the Master of Public Health program established in 1999 and a doctoral study program in 2014.
