Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Diponegoro University, established in 1993, is a center of education and research in the fields of mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, and informatics. With excellent study programs, modern laboratories, and innovative research, FMIPA contributes to the development of science and the advancement of industry.
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Diponegoro University was officially established on October 21, 1993, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0369/0/1993, after previously operating under the MIPA Management Board (BP-MIPA). The faculty originated from the Mathematics Study Program, which was opened in 1969 and later expanded with the addition of the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Study Programs in 1988, which then became departments under FMIPA in 1993. The Department of Mathematics offers three study programs: Mathematics, Statistics, and Informatics Engineering, supported by various laboratories and leading research in computing, control systems, optimization, and information technology. The Departments of Physics, Biology, and Chemistry have also grown to become essential parts of FMIPA, in accordance with various official decrees, with a focus on academic and research development.
