UNDIP, Semarang (July 8, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Edu First Solusindo to enhance students’ English language proficiency. The agreement was signed on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, by UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., and PT Edu First Solusindo Director Agus Sulistiono at the university’s Tembalang campus.
In his remarks, Prof. Suharnomo expressed UNDIP’s goal to ensure that its students achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 500 by the end of their studies. “We have a big dream. We want our students to graduate with at least a 500 TOEFL score,” he stated.
He emphasized that English proficiency is a vital basic competency, especially for students. “We hope our graduates will have two essential competencies—not only proven and trusted academic abilities but also sufficient English language skills,” added Prof. Suharnomo.
Nathalia Sielvy Megawaty, B.Ed., Commissioner of PT Edu First Solusindo, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with UNDIP. She also offered further partnerships to support the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (three pillars of higher education): education, research, and community service.
“Thank you for giving us the chance to collaborate and partner with one of the most reputable universities in Indonesia, Universitas Diponegoro. We are also open to wider collaboration, including content development for student programs, teaching practice, and community service activities based on educational technology,” she said.
She noted that the collaboration goes beyond theoretical teaching. “The goal is not only to understand and master English but also to use it effectively in professional, academic, and social contexts,” Nathalia Sielvy added. This partnership reflects UNDIP’s strong commitment to advancing its tridharma mission. The collaboration with PT Edu First Solusindo is a concrete step toward preparing globally competitive graduates and strengthening a technology-based education ecosystem.
