Diponegoro University (Undip) has held a Debriefing for Higher Education Affirmation Students (ADik) and KIP Lecture Students as well as Supervision of the 2022 ADik Scholarship Implementation from the Education Service Center (Puslapdik) on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 on 11.00 WIB at the Prof. Soedarto S.H. Building, Undip Tembalang Campus.
This activity was also attended by the Deputy Director of the Academic Directorate of Student and Alumni Affairs, Representatives of the Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship Team of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as students recipients of ADik and KIP College scholarships.
Deputy Director of Academic Directorate of Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Nuswantoro Dwiwarno, S.H., M.H. officially opened the event and in his remarks revealed that the students receiving the ADik and KIP College scholarships were the selected students. “It is not certain that later in the following year there will be many scholarship recipients. Hopefully in the following year the Ministry of Education and Culture will continue this program because it is very beneficial for prospective students who want to realize their goals of becoming a Bachelor.” he explained.
Undip as one of the well-known State Universities in Indonesia actively supports the ADik and KIP Lecture scholarship programs from the Government. “We inform you that there are approximately 99 ADik students at Undip between 2019 and 2022.” he explained.
“Then for students who received the KIP-K scholarship from 2019 to 2022 there were 5128 students, specifically in 2022 there will be around 1325 students. So it is in accordance with what is expected and targeted by the Government for Undip. Undip has implemented it by providing scholarships to younger students.” continued Nuswantoro.
Furthermore, Nuswantoro hopes that students who have received information about these scholarships will also disseminate scholarship information to the general public. “We hope that information and enlightenment will be provided to students so that later they can become information agents by inviting people to continue their studies at the higher education level with support from the Government, especially those who are economically disadvantaged so they can get Adik and KIP College scholarships.” he concluded.
Meanwhile, a representative from the Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship Team of the Learning and Student Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Yon Sugiarto explained that there were several obstacles that the community encountered in continuing their education to the Higher Education level, namely cost and difficult access to information. “At least there are two obstacles encountered, even though all have aspirations to continue their education.” he explained.
To overcome these obstacles, the Government has provided several programs, one of which is a scholarship program. “The government has provided a scholarship program for students so that they can stay focused on studying.” he said.
