On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the leaders of 21 Legal Entity State University (PTNBH) from across Indonesia attended the Handover Ceremony of the Joint Secretariat of Legal Entity State University throughout Indonesia and the Decade Discussion of PTNBH: Prospects and Challenges at the Fairmont Hotel Jakarta.
During this event, the Rector of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) handed over the position of Chairperson of the Joint Secretariat of PTNBH to the Rector of Airlangga University (UNAIR). Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum., the Rector of UNDIP, has served as the Chairperson of the Joint Secretariat of PTNBH since March 2020.
“This joint secretariat is growing larger (in terms of its members), and in the future, there may be an active representative office in Jakarta that can directly communicate with Jakarta’s leaders. We can have extensive discussions about personnel, administration, financial matters of PTNBH, and many other aspects that can be explored about PTNBH,” Prof. Yos expressed in his opening speech.
The handover was formalized by signing the Handover Report dated March 27, 2024. With the signing of this report, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak., the Rector of UNAIR, officially serves as the Chairperson of the Joint Secretariat.
“Let us restore PTNBH to its essence together. We will echo together on how campus autonomy can truly be realized through various efforts. The keyword for PTNBH is autonomy because, InsyaAllah, PTNBH can contribute more to the nation and state of Indonesia and so that PTNBH is better known abroad,” said Prof. Nasih in his first address as the Chairperson of the Joint Secretariat of PTNBH.
In addition to the handover ceremony, the leaders of the 21 PTNBH also participated in a discussion session. The first session discussed Income Tax on Nature and/or Enjoyment with a speaker from the public accounting firm Amir Abadi Jusuf. Meanwhile, the second session was filled with the Decade Discussion of PTNBH: Prospects and Challenges. As a speaker, the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology at the Ministry of Education and Culture Research, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris addressed three crucial topics: the management of PTNBH employees (Civil Servants and Non-Civil Servants), PTNBH Governance, and the future Funding Scheme for PTNBH.
