UNDIP and PT Dua Kelinci Strengthen Industry-Education Synergy Through ‘Sharing Economy’ Collaboration

UNDIP, Semarang (March 22) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) continues to expand its strategic partnerships with the industry to produce graduates who are adaptive and ready to face global challenges.

This time, UNDIP has partnered with PT Dua Kelinci, one of Indonesia’s leading FMCG companies, in a collaboration that promotes the spirit of the sharing economy and strengthens the collaborative ecosystem between academia and industry.

UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., and Talent Acquisition Sub Division Head of PT Dua Kelinci, Isti Dewi Wijayani, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony took place at the Widya Puraya building, UNDIP Tembalang campus, on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM.

The signing of the MoU marks the beginning of a collaboration between higher education and the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. UNDIP Rector, Prof. Suharnomo, emphasized the importance of equipping university graduates with the necessary skills to thrive in both local and global markets.

“There are many competencies that need to be developed, particularly in the food production sector, in collaboration with the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences. Let’s see the big picture of the food business—this partnership can also open up new job opportunities,” he stated.

UNDIP Rector further highlighted that success in today’s era cannot be achieved alone; instead, it requires collaboration and a sharing economy approach that benefits all parties involved. “We can implement the Triple Helix or Penta Helix collaboration model. UNDIP fully supports this initiative with our innovative academic resources. This partnership will strengthen Jawa Tengah’s flagship products at both the national and international levels,” he added.

drh. Dian Wahyu Harjanti, Ph.D., the Director of UNDIP’s Innovation, Commercialization, and Cooperation Directorate, explained that the sharing economy model facilitates mutual exchange, providing shared access to resources and facilities between UNDIP and PT Dua Kelinci.

“UNDIP and PT Dua Kelinci complement each other. UNDIP provides academic expertise, researchers, laboratories, and innovative technology to support PT Dua Kelinci’s R&D. In return, UNDIP students gain firsthand experience by applying their knowledge in a real industrial setting,” she explained.

Through this collaboration, PT Dua Kelinci can also leverage UNDIP’s research innovations and intellectual property through licensing agreements and technology transfer partnerships with UNDIP researchers.

Isti Dewi Wijayani, Talent Acquisition Sub Division Head of PT Dua Kelinci, expressed her gratitude and optimism for this partnership. “We hope this collaboration benefits both UNDIP alumni and PT Dua Kelinci. We have programs for internships, campus-sharing sessions, and job vacancy information. Hopefully, everything will run smoothly,” she stated. (Titis – Media Relations)
