Rector’s Message at UNDIP 171st Graduation: Maintain and Uphold Integrity

Diponegoro University held the 171st graduation ceremony in 14 stages on the 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, and 21st of August 2023 at the Prof. Soedarto, S.H. Building, Undip Tembalang Campus.

In his report, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., as the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, said this graduation was attended by 4,077 graduates, which included 48 people from Doctoral programs, 518 people from Master programs, 61 people from Specialists programs; 252 people from Profession programs, 2,697 people from Bachelor programs, 282 people from Applied Bachelor programs, and 219 people from Diploma programs.

“To maintain synergy between Undip and its graduates, Undip expects collaboration from alumni to provide feedback through the Undip tracer study at https://tracerstudy.undip.ac.id,” said Prof. Faisal.

“Hopefully, all graduates will always be successful in pursuing their careers and always be good role models for society. We are proud of the academic achievements achieved by the graduates,” he continued.

On this occasion, the Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. said that Undip ranked 1st nationally of the university whose alumni got jobs the fastest based on the 2021-2022 QS Ranking for employability; ranked 2nd nationally and 30th in the World Sustainable University ranking based on UI Greenmetric 2020, 2021, 2022; 2nd Best National PTNBH Ranking in 2021 and Top 5 Best PTNBH 2022; Top 8 National rank for World University Rank 2023 QS WUR version; Top 5 favorite universities for 5 consecutive years; more than 20 study programs with international accreditation, ABEST, FIBAA, ASIIN; and 24 study programs ranking 1 to 3 as the best study programs at the national level.

“The knowledge we have learned so far is a medium of our connection with the Creator. With this knowledge, we will worship practical knowledge, which must be based on integrity, honesty, truth, and justice. Without the integrity of science, it will only be a mere tool of power and can even harm other people, so we must maintain and uphold integrity in carrying out scientific tasks,” said Prof. Yos.

“Keep moving forward for Undip alumni, don’t give up. Ever forward never retreats. We hope that glory and success will always be on our side,” the Rector concluded. (LW-Public Relations)
